The Museum ship Hjorten is a reconstruction of the galliot Hjorten, that was completed in april 1692 and went into service between Ystad and Stralsund between the years 1692 and 1702. The crew were four men: Captain, two seamen and a ship's boy. Work to complete the reconstruction of the ship went on for three years and the ship was launched in 1998 and she made her maiden voyage in May the following year.
