Very nice and well presented site. I just find it sad that the references to the British vessels is so thin since there is more 'steamers' than the Waverley. In Liverpool there is an operating 1913 built steam tug KERNE with Triple expansion engine a two furnace scotch boiler.
However, the site was very interesting. My best regards.

Thank you very much for such a noble deed, providing valuable information about boilers.
Have a nice day!

Having 36 yrs on all kinds of boilers I really appreciate this site. I was told I do not have blood but Bunker "C" Oil instead. I run a stationary plant with 4 1600 BHP Stirling pattern boilers and 1 800 BHP 4 pass fire tube boiler. I learned in my youth from a retired Watertender and still run as I was taught.

What a great mine of information. I'm researching a steam ship, sunk off Portland, UK, in WW1 and as it's heavily salvaged the boilers are it's main identifying feature.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Enjoyed the site, I served my apprenticeship as a Boilermaker during the 1950's and Re-Tubed many a Scotch Fired Tube Boiler, so looking at the drawing brought back many memories.
